I grew up with Rainbow Sales as both my parents worked here.  I started working for them in November 2017.  I enjoy what I do.  I’m the person you call to place an order.  I’m responsible for getting all the orders processed from our salesmen & making sure they are accurate.  If you call me with a question and I’m not sure of the answer, I will find it for you.  I have a sweet little boy, MJ, who is 15 months old.

I started with Rainbow Sales as a part-time warehouse/office helper.  I then came on as a full-time employee.  I left for several years but was asked to come back in September 2016.  I do a little bit of everything for Rainbow Sales.  Jenny often says she doesn’t know what she would do without me.  Currently my main project has been our catalog and the pictures for that and our upcoming website.  If you have any questions, I’m usually the person to ask.

Hello!  I’ve got 40 years of warehouse and shipping experience.  The last 7 years of which I’ve happily been working here at Rainbow Sales.  I started out doing deliveries and then was moved into the warehouse.  I take great pride in picking, checking, and packing your orders.  So, you can be sure that your order is correct and handled with care.

When I started working with Rainbow Sales. I was part time in the warehouse while working a full time job. Then I was offered to come here full time in the warehouse and eventually became the warehouse manager. When I’m not working I enjoy baseball, traveling and spending time with my mom and dogs.

I started Rainbow Sales Distributing, Inc. in 1984. At the same time I owned & operated Peshtigo Convenience Store in Peshtigo, WI. For all of you c-store owners & managers out there, I know personally how tough this business can be. I started this company because I felt there was a niche that needed to be filled. I had so many problems finding a sunglass and novelty distributor that I chose to become one. I realize this is not a problem these days, there are many of us. Now I hope to be the vendor that sets himself aside from the others.

I started my convenience store with gas and diesel. I then added a full deli with broasted chicken and fish fry. I then added beer & liquor, propane, kerosene, live bait & tackle and a bicycle & ski shop. It was here that my daughter, Jenny N. Gray (Operations Manager, present), began working for the family business.

Prior to this adventure I was part of a 3rd generation retail bicycle business with my father, grandfather family. I have always been in the retail business so I understand the frustrations & concerns that come with retail.

I am extremely proud to work on a day-to-day basis with my daughter (Jenny), my 3 brothers (John, Chuck & Ed), my cousin (Joel) and all of my co-workers (Eric, Michael, Dean, Kim & Steve). Without my family & co-workers, we would be just another company in this big world we live in. I truly believe what sets us apart from the competition is that we are a small, family owned business with strong values. As our valued customers I promise that you are not just a number. We pride ourselves in knowing our customers on a first name basis and know your ordering history.

All in all, I am a very lucky man. I have a loving wife, Rhonda, who always supports my business and personal decisions. Three great daughters, son-in-law and four of the most precious grandchildren you have ever seen.

In closure, I keep myself very busy with the ins and outs of both business and personal, but will never be too busy for your questions or concerns. I thank you for taking your time to read my profile.

P.S. We are now working on another 3rd generation business.
